LEVERAGING INFLUENCERS AND CONTENT CREATION TO PROPEL A NEW PRODUCT CATEGORY AMID COVID-19

BrainTrust helped Cantu launch a new category: Skin! Cantu’s Skin Therapy Collection is a range of ultra-moisturizing body lotions and body creams available at Walmart and soon to be global. BrainTrust created all assets for the launch; including photography, ads, and influencer relations. What we knew is that we needed to play to our strengths, which are social media activations, influencer relations, and content creation.

For the launch, BrainTrust deployed an expansive social media blitz contracting nearly 20 influencers (with a reach of nearly 3 million) to create content based on the new collection. We also brought in an element largely missing in the pandemic; performance, we leveraged hot girl group June's Diary to bring the heat with their hit songs and active participation in the event

For the pre-launch, BrainTrust hosted an event in 4 cities throughout the country. With COVID in mind, BrainTrust allowed their guests to experience a safe night in, while still getting out of the house. Each guest was invited to a virtual meet-up and a one-night stay at a boutique hotel in their city; complete with room service, champagne, performance by award-winning R&B group, June’s Diary, and of course, Cantu swag on us! BrainTrust invited their favorite influencers and representatives from 3 publications to attend this virtual event.

Like many other top agencies featured in DesignRush, we learned that influencers would continue to drive awareness and sales, and quickly adapted to the new way of working in the pandemic. We learned that our audience was thirsty for normalcy in unsure times. Most importantly we learned how resilient we are as an agency, we kept things moving and kept clients impressed. We garnered 551M impressions across the brands and the influencers platforms and had 97K engagements program wide.
